We must inform our valued customers that Laird, the manufacturer of the Tpcm580 series phase change materials, has announced its discontinuation. As indicated in the following document, we were informed that Laird will NOT be able to accept any final orders, and the supply of this material will be discontinued immediately. This is not the usual product discontinuation procedure, so we are unable to follow our typical transition process. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our customers.

For all open orders, we will continue to process them without any changes. However, for any future orders of heat sinks/assemblies incorporating Tpcm580 series material, we must request a transition to the recommended replacement, the Tpcm5000 series material.

For more detailed information regarding the recommended Tpcm5000 series material, please refer to the Laird document provided below. Tpcm5000 series material offers better performance than the current Tpcm580 series materials. This change will NOT result in a price increase. Laird has agreed to offer the this material at the same pricing as the discontinued Tpcm580 series material.

We are currently in the process of working through this transition. If you require an expedited solution, we can accommodate changes to alternate replacement materials. However, a change to an alternative other than the Tpcm5000 series could result in a price increase. We ask for your understanding in this matter.
